Summary

We are looking for a "Software Architect for Embedded Software (f/m/d)" for the "Missile Warning Engineering" department at the Taufkirchen site as soon as possible.

The "Missile Warning Engineering" department is responsible for the development of electro-optical systems for the detection of guided missiles. This covers the entire life cycle of the products from the offer phase to the development of demonstrators / prototypes, product and series development as well as series support and necessary adaptation developments.

Your Tasks

• Plan, specify, design and develop software for embedded systems, including requirements analysis, software architecture definition, detailed software design and implementation

• Perform hardware/software integration in collaboration with the hardware, firmware and operating system development team and participate in the development of PC-based software for specialized test equipment

• Software verification and validation, creation of test procedures and documentation of test results at component and system level

• Coordination and implementation of software reviews

• Creation, estimation and cost control of work packages

• Coordination and distribution of SW work packages within the SW team

• Technical coordination of suppliers

• Customer support with regard to questions about system functionality and software maintenance

• Close cooperation with the System Engineering department in defining the requirements for system functionality, system design and system verification

• Close cooperation with the Algorithm Development department in the implementation and integration of modern AI-based algorithms

Your Profile

• Degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent

• Extensive professional experience as a software architect in complex software projects for embedded systems and in-depth knowledge of embedded platforms

• Several years of professional experience in requirements analysis and software modeling with UML

• Very good knowledge of the C++ programming language (C++14, C++17) as well as network programming, serial interfaces (RS422, RS485), bus systems (PCIe), avionic interfaces (MIL bus, ARINC-429)

• In-depth knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. Rational DOORS), Atlassian Toolsuite, CLion, Enterprise Architect, SCRUM

• Good knowledge of real-time operating systems or Linux operating systems for embedded applications

• Very good communication skills, strong ability to work in international and diverse teams

• Business fluent in English and German
