Job Highlights

Global responsibility for application technology and development for Business Segment Specialty Industrial Additives (SIA)
Lead the Global Center of Excellence laboratory for Business Segment SIA at site Mannheim
Key leadership team member to develop and implement a global growth strategy for Business Segment SIA
Drive development of new and improved product solutions in alignment with customer needs
Translate existing product technologies into adjacent market opportunities
Accountable for global new process development, manufacturing support, and raw material qualification
Own and manage the IP portfolio for Business Segment SIA

Requirements

PhD in tribology, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or chemistry with at least 10 years of professional experience, preferably in the lubricant industry
More than 3 years of experience in leading a research & development laboratory team, preferably in an international environment
Strong track record of delivering new solutions and results via a customer-oriented approach
Professional experience in project and people management in global projects, preferably with experience in lean management
Excellent English and German language competency, with executive communication and presentation skills
Willingness to travel internationally
