SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Must ensure equipment is functioning properly and take appropriate action if necessary. \* Interpersonal skills are necessary in order to effectively interact with physicians, other facility staff, patients and families when providing instructions or responding to question or exchanging patient-related information.
* Analytic skills are also necessary in order to conduct mammography exams and review images for accuracy and quality, verify patient information, and perform general radiographic exams while limiting radiation exposure.
* Requires the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when conducting or assisting with mammographic or radiologic procedures.
* Must meet continuing experience and continuing education required by MQSA.
Job Type: Full time Monday-Fridays Responsibilities:
- Perform mammography exams on patients using specialized imaging equipment
- Position patients correctly and ensure their comfort during the procedure
- Follow proper protocols and safety measures to obtain high-quality images
- Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze results
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and standards in the field of mammography
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology related to mammography and diagnostic imaging
- Strong knowledge of medical imaging techniques, including X-ray, CT scan, and mammography
- Thorough understanding of human anatomy and physiology as it relates to mammography
- Experience in performing mammography exams, including positioning and image acquisition
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and recordkeeping
