Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Commissioning Agent. The Commissioning Agent will be responsible for facilitating and overseeing the commissioning process for various building systems to ensure they are designed, installed, tested, and functioning according to project requirements. Daily tasks include conducting pre-functional and functional site inspections, preparing reports, coordinating with design and construction teams, and verifying system performance. The role also requires supporting sustainable and energy-efficient building practices while ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards. Qualifications Experience in commissioning and testing building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems Knowledge in energy efficiency principles, sustainable building practices, and related certifications (e.g., LEED, WELL) Strong project management, coordination, and organizational skills Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with clients and stakeholders Ability to work independently in a remote environment Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field is preferred Relevant certifications such as CxA, BCxP, or similar are a plus Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and energy modeling software is an advantage
