Scope of the Role
The Demand Planner will own and manage the
end-to-end demand forecasting process
across all sales channels and product lines. This role is responsible for building
accurate, timely, and actionable demand forecasts
that support Supply Planning, Sourcing, New Product Development, Commercial, and Finance teams. This is
not a supply planning role . The Demand Planner will not manage inventory levels, purchase orders, replenishment, or supply constraints. The focus is on delivering a
data-driven, cross-functionally aligned demand plan
that reflects true commercial demand and enables confident business decisions. Duties and Responsibilities
Own weekly, monthly, and seasonal
demand forecasts
across Retail, DTC, Amazon, and International channels Analyze historical sales, POS data, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and product lifecycle stages Manage
SKU-level forecasting , including new product launches, SKU transitions, cannibalization assumptions, and demand curves Continuously improve
forecast accuracy
by identifying error drivers and implementing corrective actions Deliver clear and timely forecasts to Supply Planning, Sourcing, and NPD to support purchasing, capacity planning, and launch readiness Partner with Commercial teams to align forecasts with retailer commitments, promotions, and marketing initiatives Collaborate closely with Finance to support revenue planning, cash flow modeling, margin forecasting, and budgeting Facilitate monthly
S&OP / forecast review meetings , highlighting risks, opportunities, and demand shifts Own demand forecasting for
new product development , including pre-launch assumptions and post-launch tracking Maintain forecasting tools, models, and dashboards Deliver regular reporting on forecast accuracy (MAPE/Bias), channel performance, POS trends, and demand risks Years of Experience 4–8+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, S&OP, or related Supply Chain roles Background Experience in CPG, beauty, retail, or high-SKU-velocity consumer environments Strong understanding of statistical forecasting, regression analysis, and SKU lifecycle modeling Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, and Product teams Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments Tools and Software Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets Experience with demand planning or forecasting tools such as NetSuite, Anaplan, SAP IBP, Logility, DEAR, or similar Experience working with POS data, sales reporting tools, and dashboarding platforms
