Responsibilities
Preparing claims for litigation from intake to resolution under attorney supervision, including preparing administrative submissions, drafting state and federal court pleadings, and preparing for trial and/or arbitration.
Conducting legal research and preparing memoranda.
Managing and executing document preservation and litigation hold notices.
Preparing, maintaining, and updating electronic case files to ensure efficiency, organization, proper case management, and understanding of case status by other employees and attorneys.
Identifying and completing periodic tasks related to the management of each case, documenting notes in the case management system.
Managing, updating, and entering calendar deadlines, including court dates and statutes of limitation.
Preparing and responding to written discovery, cataloging evidence, and organizing evidence in anticipation of trial.
Scheduling depositions and summarizing deposition testimony.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience working as a litigation paralegal required.
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
Experience working in a law office handling civil litigation.
Computer literacy and familiarity/fluency with Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
Compensation $50,000 - $80,000 yearly depending on experience
