About The Role As a founding Member of the Annuity Sales team, your role is to confidently guide customers through the annuity buying process. You will educate customers on how these products work, identify which solutions are best suited for their retirement goals, and provide a world‑class experience by ensuring transparency in an industry that’s generally overly complicated and slow to adapt.
You will be responsible for outreach to customers who begin a needs assessment on our site, assisting them with their applications, and guiding them through the final journey of purchasing their policy. Duties And Responsibilities
Engage potential customers through inbound and outbound calls, emails and SMS
Educate customers on Ethos’ products and processes
Uncover and understand an individual’s needs through in‑depth discovery and position Ethos’ value according to those specific needs
Build relationships and instill trust with customers in order to drive monthly and quarterly conversion targets
Act as a key feedback loop for our Product and Engineering teams (sharing insights on customer friction points to help refine the new Annuity platform)
Manage a pipeline of customers and perform follow‑up through the application and purchasing process
Contribute to the creation of sales scripts, outreach strategies, and workflow iterations for this new category
Drive referral activity by creating positive customer experiences
Qualifications And Skills
Active Life and Health Insurance License (Required)
Completion of state‑required Annuity Suitability training/certifications
2‑3 years of experience in annuity telesales (Fixed, Fixed‑Index, or MYGA experience preferred)
Strong proficiency working with Salesforce or equivalent sales/CRM software
Strong sales track record and exceptional sales techniques with the ability to overcome customer objections
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Ability to identify friction points for the customer and come up with solutionsExcellent time management and organizational skills
Can adapt to changes quickly
Incredible drive to win
Quick learner comfortable in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
Excellent communication skills including strong phone presence
Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
The US national base salary range for this full‑time position is $70,000 - $200,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
