About

Role Overview This position is a Staff Software Engineer in Zscaler’s Endpoint Protection team, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The engineer will develop automated test cases, build and maintain test infrastructure, mentor junior team members, and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient automation runs.
Responsibilities
Develop automated functional test cases for network security products.
Build and maintain test infrastructure that meets product requirements.
Mentor junior engineers on testing practices and tools.
Develop and maintain the automation framework using modern tools.
Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure smooth, efficient automation runs.
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years of relevant experience in test automation within a networking and security environment.
Hands‑on experience designing and developing automation frameworks using Python.
Experience with AWS, GCP, Active Directory, and VPN clients.
Proficient in network and security protocols (TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS).
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze logs using Wireshark or tcpdump.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of system load and performance testing.
Experience setting up testbeds in virtualized environments.
Certifications in cloud, networking, or automation domains.
