Product Security Engineer We are hiring a Product Security Engineer who can make real security changes in the codebase and infrastructure, not bolt security on afterward. This role sits directly in the engineering flow. You will understand how systems behave, find the weak points early, and ship the fixes yourself. If you think of security as part of how the system works rather than a checklist on top of it, this is the right seat.
Compensation:
180 to 220k base + bonus
Location:
Remote (US)
What you will be doing
Write code inside our Python services that fixes security flaws or enforces security decisions.
Build and maintain integrations in CI and CD that evaluate changes at deploy time.
Create internal automation that identifies risky patterns or unsafe changes without waiting for scanners.
Review service architecture with a focus on identity boundaries, data flow, and how services interact.
Investigate and fix real production issues related to authentication, access, and runtime behavior.
Establish patterns in Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform that engineers can use safely and repeatably.
Improve systems early rather than reacting to incidents later.
What you need to have
5 years of experience doing Product Security or application security work where you wrote code that changed how the system behaved. Strong Python skills are a must.
Ability to read unfamiliar code and spot actual risk, then implement the fix yourself.
Experience shaping AWS decisions related to IAM, network layout, service communication, or data exposure.
Terraform experience that produced modules or patterns other teams could adopt, not just scripting around deployments.
Comfort operating inside Kubernetes beyond simple deployment flows, including workload troubleshooting, RBAC and security controls.
Ability to write Python that supports production workflows, not only scripts or wrappers.
Experience adding enforcement into CI and CD such as blocking builds, validating changes, or merging automated controls into the deployment path.
A working understanding of application flaws, infrastructure flaws, and how they show up when systems scale.
No CTC or visa sponsorship available.
Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Hampton North by 2x.
