About

The Network Engineering team at one of our largest Fortune 200 Energy Generation clients is actively seeking a Network Engineer to support the ongoing transformation of their hybrid-cloud infrastructure. As the organization continues to expand its Azure footprint—especially in light of a major merger—this role will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions across both on‑premises and cloud environments.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in network engineering
Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure networking (VNETs, ExpressRoute, VPN
Strong experience with Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, wireless)
Experience with F5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM)
Experience or understanding of Fortinet firewalls and security appliances
Experience with Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls a plus
Familiarity with Cisco ISE, NDFC, and NDI is a plus.
Cisco CCNP and/or higher level Cisco certifications preferred
Solid understanding of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across cross‑functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support hybrid cloud network infrastructure with a focus on Azure.
Collaborate with cloud architects and security teams to ensure secure and scalable network designs.
Support integration efforts related to the ongoing merger, including Azure‑based network expansion.
Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
Manage and optimize F5 load balancers and Fortinet security appliances.
Implement and support SD‑WAN solutions across enterprise locations.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues across cloud and on‑prem.
Maintain documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
Participate in on‑call rotation and provide escalation support as needed.
Travel occasionally domestically will be required
