About
This role will support the design, coordination, and execution of electrical systems across commercial, government, and mission critical construction environments. Working within a collaborative BIM and construction team, you will play a key role in delivering high quality electrical design solutions for fast paced, high profile projects.
What you will do
Perform electrical system design for data centers, commercial, and government construction projects
Support power distribution, lighting, and life safety system design
Develop electrical load calculations, panel schedules, and distribution designs
Prepare and review construction drawings and BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD
Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, and mechanical teams
Conduct site surveys and field verification to confirm existing conditions and equipment layouts
Prepare design sketches, specifications, as built drawings, and engineering documentation
Support construction administration activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field support
Participate in design coordination meetings with project teams and subcontractors
Perform quality control reviews of electrical drawings and calculations
You may be a great fit if you have
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is essential
Minimum of 2 years of electrical design supporting commercial building and architectural projects
Experience in power distribution, load calculations, and panel schedules
Strong working knowledge of IBC, NEC, NFPA, and IECC codes and standards
Experience using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination environments
Ability to perform site visits and field inspections
Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
Willing to undertake business travel up 25%
