What You Will Be Doing As a Senior Network Engineer, you will support the organization's global networks, encompassing enterprise-class routing, switching, load balancing, and firewall solutions across data centers, the cloud, and the WAN. You will implement and test network changes to service internal and external customers while maintaining network integrity through ongoing configuration maintenance. Additionally, you will play a critical role in incident management by resolving network-related issues, performing root cause analysis, and participating in post-incident reviews to enhance reliability.
Note on Shift This position follows a Saturday – Tuesday, 6:00 am – 5:00 pm CST schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Quickly implement and validate network changes in collaboration with peer engineering teams.
Maintain established service level agreements (SLAs) to meet customer expectations and quality standards.
Respond to and resolve network-related incidents in a timely manner.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for network failures.
Provide clear communication to stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle.
Incorporate security into all network decisions and daily job responsibilities.
Required Skills & Experience
Most Critical Skill: 3+ years of experience configuring and managing Next-Gen Firewall policies combined with expert knowledge of BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
Minimum of 3 years of related professional networking experience.
Expertise in Enterprise Routing and Switching Technologies for data center and campus networks.
Proficiency with networking protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP/RMON, and RDP.
Hands‑on experience with VLANs, Spanning Tree, DNS, and DHCP.
Working knowledge of load balancing technologies.
Proven ability in troubleshooting, identification, isolation, and resolution of complex network issues.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently or in a group.
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, or a related field.
Understanding of automation and scripting tools such as Python and Ansible Tower.
Experience with SD-WAN and software‑defined networks in a spine/leaf architecture.
Familiarity with network security mechanisms like VPN, IPSEC, and SSL.
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
Understanding of Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and SSL certificates.
Experience with IPAM solutions.
Pay $40.60/hr - $58.00 /hr.
