About
This role primarily conducts customized market research and drives strong, long-term outreach strategies and leads through the process of identify, contact, qualify, and introduce. As marketing qualified customers are established, the Sales Development Representative successfully transitions contacts and communication to the corresponding sales and account management team.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify: Market Research
Perform customized market research within new markets while tracking volume, complexity and price sensitivity. This involves tracking of industry developments and strategies, as well as identifying purchase patterns and emerging trends. Prioritize leads to convert to prospects by assessing the likelihood of a successful business relationship and continued sales opportunities.
Contact: Communication
Provide strong communication and follow-up to establish and maintain highly engaged relationships both internally and externally. Communication and activities can include phone calls, emails, meetings + presentations, events/tradeshows etc.
Qualify: Analysis & Reports
Record and evaluate outreach, activity and key industry insight gathered to understand the impact and areas of opportunity for business growth. Conduct weekly updates and deliver summaries to sales and marketing leadership, specifically on outreach, engagement and key highlights.
Introduce: Transition
Develop and implement a process with sales and marketing leadership that successfully transitions all marketing qualified leads in an efficient and effective method. Continue to engage with prospects as they advance through the sales processes. Partner with Account Managers and Inside Sales to secure initial purchases from new prospects.
Education | Experience- Project management, sales and marketing, or relevant customer service experience preferred
- Highly motivated and self-driven

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Proficient in Microsoft, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Detailed-oriented
- Must be able to sit or stand for up to 8-9 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift up to 5-10 lbs. on occasion.
- This role may include opportunities to travel domestically, on occasion, up to 1-2 times per year for no more than 2-3 days at a time.
- Competitive Salary: $55,000.00 - $66,000.00 DOE + potential for up to $15,000.00 in commissions
