divh2Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/h2pCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) needed in Brooklyn Well-staffed Nursing and Rehabilitation Center/ppThe Certified Nursing Assistant works directly under the supervision of the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and performs duties in a relation to the personal needs of the resident, care of supplies and equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness, comfort and safety of the resident in his/her environment. Reports to: Charge Nurse, Supervisor and Director of Nursing Services (DNS)/pulliAbility to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions./liliAbility to write legibly./liliPhysically able to perform the required duties of a Certified Nursing Assistant./liliExperience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care or long-term care setting./li/ulpResponsibilities: Residents/pulliProvides or assists with bed bath, tub bath, whirlpool and showers. (Supervises safety of same.)/liliProvides personal grooming: i.e. hair, nails, shaving, personal clothing, mouth care, perineal care./liliPrepares laundry for pick-up and return./liliChecks residents body for skin care: i.e. rash, any discoloration or edema./liliFeeding and Assisting with Feeding (when necessary)/liliProvides calm, pleasant environment./liliEngages in cluster feeding while seated./liliMonitors daily intake and keeps nurses informed./liliRecords food intake on Nutrition Work Sheet./liliMaking Beds/liliUses recommended amount of linen and diapers./liliDisposes of linen in proper manner./liliProperly utilizes clean and dirty linen carts./liliSecures call bells to bed./liliBeds are made in proper manner./liliKnowledgeable in procedure for linen precaution./li/ulpRehabilitation/pulliAssists in ambulation, transfers, ROM exercises and good body alignment where indicated./liliUses adaptive devices properly./liliCooperates with all rehab disciplines./liliKeeps accountability sheets up to date with signatures as required./li/ulpTesting of Urine and Collecting of Specimens/pulliHas knowledge of proper procedure./liliRecords results./liliInforms nurse of results./li/ulpAssignments/pulliReceives daily report from nurse./liliConsults assignment for special duties and sets proper priorities for following through on assignment./liliIs familiar with and takes proper action in meeting physical needs of resident./liliRoutinely checks and keeps in order all residents belongings: i.e. clothing, glasses, hearing aid, prosthesis aid, adaptive devices, etc./liliEnsures that residents on turning schedule is positioned every two hours or as ordered, and documented./liliEnsures that residents on toileting schedule are assisted as needed, and documented./liliResident is kept clean and dry./liliGives assistance to co-workers when needed./liliUses good handwashing techniques./li/ulpCooperation/pulliWorks well with co-workers and supervisors./liliMaintains appropriate relationship with residents, families and peers./liliGives assistance to other departments: i.e. recreation, when necessary./liliCommunicates well with other staff members./li/ulpLicense:/pulliCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (Required)/liliCPR (Preferred)/li/ulpFor more information and to apply, please contact: Jacqueline Bussi Account Manager, Bond Health Staffing 5824 12th Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11219 Office: 1-718-302-0040 ext. 201 Fax: 1-718-302-0070 Jacqueline@bondhealthstaffing.com/p/div
