Work situations require performance of safe clinical skills within the scope of practice of the MA-C. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients and their families/caregivers./ppResponsibilities:/pulliFulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include:/liulliOrganizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff/liliInterviewing patients/liliObtaining vital signs/liliAssisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments/liliPerforming specimen collection, including venipuncture/liliAdministration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency/liliRelaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers/li/ulliFulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include:/liulliSending and receiving of patient medical records/liliFacilitating patient referrals/liliPreparing forms for patients/li/ul/ulpRequirements:/pulliWashington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)/liliMinimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred/liliCurrent BLS certification/li/ulpAbout Capital Medical Center/ppMultiCare Capital Medical Center is a 107-bed community hospital providing award-winning care to Olympia and surrounding communities.
