About
We are seeking a
Cloud DevOps Engineer
with a primary focus on maintaining and administering our company’s AWS environments. The main responsibility will be assisting with the migration of applications and services from multiple cloud providers to AWS, deploying and troubleshooting software, networking, and security in AWS infrastructure, and ensuring optimal system performance. This role is based in the United States.
Responsibilities
Assist in the management of Bitcoin Depot AWS cloud infrastructure
Lead migration of applications/services from cloud providers to AWS
Collaborate with the engineering team to develop CI/CD GitHub actions for AWS infrastructure deployment
Develop Terraform scripts for deployment of application/services in AWS infrastructure
Monitor and resolve system issues as they arise
Manage user access in the AWS environment
Collaborate with Engineering, IT Operations, and Security teams
Qualifications
Relevant degree or diploma in Information Systems (desired)
AWS SysOps, DevOps, or Solution Architect Associate Certification (preferred)
2+ years of experience working with AWS cloud environments (required)
Experience building secure infrastructure with AWS Well‑Architected Framework
Experience administering server‑side technology, networked computing systems, and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP, Heroku, DigitalOcean)
Configuration and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, load balancers, WAFs, AWS ECS services, system software configuration and updates, internal/external applications
Experience with ECS clusters and Docker containers
Experience with Linux operating systems – Ubuntu, Amazon Linux 2 (preferred)
Knowledge of firewalls and security such as VPC, NSG, subnet, ACL, and port configuration based on the principle of least access
SME knowledge of modern DevOps solutions, IaC concepts (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub actions
Experience with RDS and ElastiCache systems – operations, networking, configuration, logging, backup, clustering
Strong technical background and problem‑solving skills for resolving system issues as they arise
Experience in development of technical documentation and architecture designs
Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines
Availability outside working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly
Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
