Reporting to the Operations and Maintenance Area Manager, the candidate, in the performance of their duties, must support the Maintenance Supervisor and assist them in the daily management of the industrial maintenance department, ensuring that the following minimum tasks are carried out rigorously and satisfactorily.

Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Supervise, coach, and motivate the team of industrial mechanics.
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
Manage intervention priorities in collaboration with production.
Participate in troubleshooting and recommend technical solutions.
Control the quality of work performed and adherence to deadlines.
Ensure the availability of required parts, tools, and equipment.
Train new employees and support the development of team skills.
Collaborate with other departments to improve equipment reliability.
Prepare maintenance reports and keep maintenance records up to date.
Participate in the development of the maintenance budget and monitor its execution.
Ensure the application of safe and efficient work procedures
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
5 years of experience managing an industrial maintenance department, ideally in a unionized environment (asset)
Leadership, dynamism, resourcefulness, autonomy, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Autonomy, dynamism, strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities and urgent situations, ease of communication in a team environment, attention to quality, ability to work under pressure and meet various deadlines
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methods (asset)
Good tolerance to odors and visual elements
