Senior Systems Engineer
to join a collaborative engineering team in
Vergennes, VT
focused on the development of embedded, real-time systems. This individual will play a key role in translating customer requirements into fully integrated system solutions, supporting the full lifecycle from concept through validation. Key Responsibilities Lead system-level engineering activities across the full product lifecycle, including concept development, design, integration, testing, and support Translate customer specifications into system and subsystem requirements, ensuring alignment with performance, cost, and schedule constraints Drive system architecture development and perform trade studies to evaluate design alternatives Support system integration, verification, and validation activities, including development of test plans and success criteria Conduct functional analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition across hardware and software components Contribute to risk assessments, cost analysis, and overall system effectiveness evaluations Manage configuration processes and ensure traceability of requirements throughout development Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to ensure successful execution Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience Experience working with embedded or real-time systems in a complex engineering environment Strong background in systems engineering methodologies, including requirements development and system integration U.S. Citizenship required (due to ITAR requirements) Ability to work onsite in Vergennes, VT Preferred Qualifications Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies Familiarity with tools such as SysML and Simulink Background in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
