About the Role QA Test Engineer supports project quality assurance efforts by developing, maintaining, and executing test plans, test scripts, and related documentation. This role helps ensure system requirements are clearly understood, properly validated, and accurately reflected in testing activities across Agile project environments.
Your Impact
Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test scripts, and related QA artifacts using Jira, Zephyr Scale, and other designated tools, ensuring full traceability to requirements.
Collaborate with senior testing resources, project managers, technical teams, and customers to validate requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and confirm expected system behavior.
Document, track, and manage defects through resolution, including retesting and clear communication with development teams.
Support testing of complex data scenarios, including data migration validation, data conditioning, and upstream/downstream system verification.
Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies such as standups, sprint planning, backlog refinements, demos, and retrospectives.
Monitor testing progress and communicate risks, issues, and potential timeline impacts to project leadership.
Coordinate environment readiness activities, including data setup, test accounts, configuration needs, and other testing prerequisites.
Assists with release readiness and deployment activities, including smoke testing, deployment validation, and post-deployment verification.
Perform other Test-Engineer-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Mid-level of stronger experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or a related testing role.
Experience creating, maintaining, and executing test scripts and test plans.
Experience documenting, tracking, and retesting defects through resolution.
Familiarity with Jira, Zephyr Scale, or similar test management and defect tracking tools.
Ability to understand business requirements, acceptance criteria, system behavior, and project documentation.
Experience supporting Agile project teams and participating in sprint ceremonies.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
Ability to communicate clearly with project managers, technical teams, developmental teams, and testing leads.
Standout Qualifications
Experience testing complex data scenarios, including data migration, data conditioning, and upstream/downstream system validation.
Experience supporting release readiness, smoke testing, deployment validation, and post-deployment verification.
Experience contributing to QA process improvement, test framework enhancements, automation planning, or testing tool optimization.
Experience creating or updating end-user documentation.
Pay Range $45.00/hr. - $50.00/hr.
