Responsibilities (implied)
Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Laravel (PHP) and Python.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and ensure scalable, reliable backend systems.
Manage databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL) and ensure data integrity and performance.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a remote, lean, fast-moving environment.
Communicate effectively in English in written and spoken form.
Requirements
4+ years of backend experience.
Strong experience with Laravel (PHP) and Python.
RESTful API design and development.
Database management (MySQL / PostgreSQL).
English proficiency at B2 level or higher (able to communicate effectively in written and spoken form in professional settings).
Fintech or regulated industry experience is a meaningful plus, not just a checkbox.
Remote-first with occasional travel as needed.

Nice to Have
Experience in fintech, BNPL, or payments infrastructure.
AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3 — any combination).
DevOps mindset — infrastructure as code, deployment pipelines, monitoring.
Familiarity with fraud detection logic or financial data systems.
Experience with Stripe.
