Cybersecurity Project Manager -
Remote; Candidates MUST currently reside in one of the following states: SC, NC, GA, FL
SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Cyber Security Project Manager for a high-profile project. Candidate will lead and coordinate enterprise-wide PCI DSS compliance initiatives, partnering with Information Security Governance and IT PMO teams. This role will oversee project planning, execution, reporting, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration while providing subject matter expertise on PCI DSS and cybersecurity project delivery.
Required Qualifications for the Cybersecurity Project Manager
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
7+ years of project management experience with at least 5+ years supporting cybersecurity, information security, or IT risk initiatives.
Proven experience managing enterprise-wide PCI DSS compliance implementation projects, not limited to annual audits or assessments.
Experience working in banking/financial services.
Strong working knowledge of PCI DSS standards, controls, and compliance frameworks.
Experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives involving technical teams, business stakeholders, PMOs, and third-party vendors.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and frameworks including NIST, cloud technologies, IAM, vulnerability management, and risk management.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, and business partners.
Experience managing project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting preferred.
PMP, CSM, CAPM, CSPM, CISSP-Associate, or equivalent certification preferred.
Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Project Manager
Lead and oversee PCI DSS compliance initiatives from planning through execution and delivery.
Partner with the Enterprise PMO, IT PMO, Information Security Governance, and Lines of Business to coordinate enterprise PCI efforts.
Provide PCI DSS subject matter expertise, guidance, and coaching to project teams and stakeholders.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, risks, dependencies, reporting, and governance activities.
Coordinate and oversee internal resources, technical leads, SMEs, business partners, and third-party vendors involved in project execution.
Track project financials, support forecasting activities, and ensure successful delivery within established budget and timeline constraints.
