Salesforce consultant to support new Salesforce solution
--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. Client Interaction & Requirements Gathering:
2. Meetings with clients: Participating in discovery sessions,
status updates, workshops, and Q&A sessions.
3. Gathering business requirements: Eliciting needs from
stakeholders through interviews, surveys, and observation.
4. Documenting requirements: Creating user stories, functional
specifications, and process flows.
5. Presenting solutions: Explaining proposed Salesforce
configurations or customizations to clients.
6. Providing updates: Communicating progress, challenges, and
next steps to clients and project managers.
7. II. Salesforce Configuration & Development:
8. Configuring Salesforce: Setting up objects, fields, page layouts,
record types, validation rules, and automation (Workflow Rules,
Process Builder, Flow).
9. Customizing Salesforce: Developing custom components, Apex
code, Visualforce pages, or Lightning Web Components (if in a
technical role).
10. Data management: Importing, exporting, cleansing, and
migrating data.
11. Building reports and dashboards: Creating and refining reports
to meet client reporting needs.
12. Testing configurations and code: Performing unit testing,
integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
13. Troubleshooting issues: Investigating and resolving bugs or
user-reported problems.
14. III. Project Management & Collaboration:
15. Updating project management tools: Tracking tasks, progress,
and time spent on activities.
16. Collaborating with team members: Working with other
consultants, developers, administrators, and project managers.
17. Participating in team meetings: Daily stand-ups, sprint planning,
and retrospectives.
18. Reviewing work: Providing feedback on configurations or code
developed by other team members.
19. Managing scope: Ensuring that project work stays within the
agreed-upon scope.
20. IV. Learning & Development:
21. Staying updated on Salesforce releases: Researching new
features and functionalities.
22. Learning new Salesforce products or technologies:
Continuously expanding knowledge base.
23. Pursuing certifications: Studying for and taking Salesforce
certification exams.
24. Reading industry blogs and forums: Staying informed about
best practices and trends.
25. V. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
26. Creating and updating documentation: Developing user guides,
administrator guides, and technical documentation.
27. Sharing knowledge: Presenting findings or best practices to
colleagues.
28. Maintaining a knowledge base: Contributing to internal wikis or
documentation repositories.
Systems Architect
Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design. Expert 84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 Months of Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or
Service Cloud configuration and administration
• 60 Months of Experience in design, build, and deploy custom
objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and
workflow rules
• 60 Months of Experience Salesforce automation tools such as
Process Builder and Flow
• 60 Months of Experience in managing user profiles, permission
sets, roles, and sharing settings to ensure data security and
access control
• 60 Months of Experience in creating and optimizing reports and
dashboards to provide actionable business insights
• 60 Months of Experience in the Salesforce AppExchange and the
ability to recommend and integrate third-party solutions
• 60 Months of Experience in Salesforce data management best
practices, including data loading, cleansing, and de-duplication
• 60 Months of Experience in Salesforce release cycles and the
ability to adapt solutions to new features and functionalities
• 60 Months of Experience with Apex, Visualforce, and/or Lightning
Web Components (LWC) for custom development
• 60 Months of Experience in SOQL and SOSL for data querying
