Location: Charlotte, NC / Minneapolis, MN / Chandler, AZ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week) Duration: 12+ Months with possible conversion Consultant Type: W2 only Process: Create procedure Download template Run through AI Document steps Tools: Copilot Power Automate SharePoint AI Prompt snippets Focus on promoting AI adoption and AI transformation Supporting citizen writers and publication workflows This is essentially an AI‑savvy Senior Editor / Content Quality Lead for procedural documentation: Owns and matures the Quality Assurance (QA) framework for ~8,000+ procedure documents. Acts as editor and quality gatekeeper, not the primary writer:
Ensures content is readable, usable, and low‑risk. Defines and enforces standards, rules of writing, and evaluation criteria.
Serves as the face of AI‑enabled writing:
Partners with tech teams that build AI solutions (Copilot, Power Platform). Translates writing rules into clear requirements for AI prompts. Champions AI adoption with "citizen writers" (process SMEs) and publishers.
Manages/owns content for an AI Center of Excellence:
Prompt libraries, how‑to guides, training content for writing & AI usage.
In short: A writing/ editorial expert who leads content quality and helps scale AI‑assisted procedure writing across the org. Must‑Have Skills & Experience: A. Strong Editorial / Writing Expertise (Core) Professional background in editing or technical writing, ideally:
Editor, Senior Editor, Content QA, or similar.
Deep understanding of writing mechanics and style, e.g.:
Active vs. passive voice 2nd person usage Consistency, grammar, structure, clarity
Experience reviewing and enforcing content standards, style guides, or templates. Ability to articulate rules of writing clearly (for humans and for AI prompts). AI & Copilot Usage (AI‑Savvy User, Not Engineer) Heavy user of AI tools (ideally Copilot, but any LLM/Copilot‑like tools acceptable):
Uses AI to draft, refine, and improve writing. Understands how to talk to AI effectively (good prompts, iterations).
Comfortable with:
Explaining how AI can speed up writing (handsaw vs. chainsaw analogy). Helping non‑technical users ("citizen writers") adopt and trust AI tools.
Required Qualifications: 7+ years of procedure writing experience. 2+ years of editorial experience. Skilled in writing and applying AI prompts to support procedure writing and quality evaluation. Financial services industry experience. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience.
