Data Analyst- Statistical Programming
for a contract-to-hire onsite opportunity
(with eventual hybrid schedule, 3 days a week onsite, 2 days remote) in Columbia, SC. The Candidate will develop and execute statistical programming and data analysis activities to support reporting, trend identification, and data-driven decision-making. This role will focus on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights, building reliable reporting solutions, and supporting continuous process improvement within a collaborative analytics environment.
Required Qualifications of the
Data Analyst- Statistical Programming:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
Strong understanding of statistical methods, mathematical principles, and analytical reasoning
Experience performing data analysis, data manipulation, and complex calculations
Exposure to programming concepts and/or statistical programming languages
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of relational database structures and data management concepts
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical findings clearly
Preferred
Skills / Experience of the
Data Analyst- Statistical Programming:
1+ year of experience in statistical programming, data analysis, research, or IT-related analytical roles
Experience working with tools such as SAS, Python, Business Objects, DB2, or similar reporting/database systems
Familiarity with healthcare, insurance, or regulated data environments
Experience developing reports, dashboards, or data visualizations
Understanding of data quality assurance, validation, and compliance standards
Experience supporting database design, enhancements, or system updates
Ability to translate complex datasets into business-friendly insights and recommendations
Responsibilities of the
Data Analyst- Statistical Programming:
Develop, maintain, and execute database programs to support data extraction and reporting requirements
Create both standardized and ad hoc reports using multiple reporting platforms
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and improvement opportunities
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with established requirements and standards
Develop documentation, procedures, and guidelines for recurring reporting and analytical processes
Create visualizations, summaries, and presentations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders
