Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Engineer to lead the design, development, integration, and maintenance of custom-built applications, ensuring seamless connectivity with enterprise systems.
This role plays a key part in delivering scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-native solutions, while also providing leadership and technical direction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of application developers and integration specialists
Oversee the full application lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
Architect scalable, secure applications using AWS services
Define and enforce coding standards and best practices
Manage repositories, version control, and deployments
Integration & Architecture
Design and implement integration strategies across enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, data platforms, third-party APIs)
Build solutions using APIs, ETL tools, and event-driven architectures
Ensure data integrity, performance, and security
Troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges
Leadership & Delivery
Provide technical guidance on tools, methodologies, and architecture
Participate in architectural reviews and technology decisions
Support planning, estimation, and project delivery
Communicate progress and align with stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
5+ years of experience building and operating applications on AWS
Technical Skills
AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, CloudFront
Integration with enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
API development (REST/GraphQL), event-driven systems
Programming: Node.js, Java, or Python
Frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript, React or similar
Additional Experience
AI/LLM-based applications (RAG, prompt design, tool calling, monitoring)
DevOps (CI/CD, automated testing, observability)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
Cloud security best practices
SQL & NoSQL databases
Agile methodologies
Nice to Have
SAP integrations (IDoc, OData, BAPI/RFC)
SAP BTP, Fiori/SAPUI5, Integration Suite
