Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate technology initiatives for a growing organization. This is a contract hybrid role based in Middlebury, VT requiring regular onsite presence to collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams, along with remote work flexibility.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing infrastructure, cloud, security, and enterprise IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects
Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies
Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, security, application, and vendor partners
Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status meetings, and stakeholder updates
Track project progress using standard PM tools (Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
Ensure alignment with IT governance, security, and compliance requirements
Manage change requests and ensure proper documentation and approvals
Provide clear weekly status reports, risk logs, and milestone tracking
Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager
Strong background managing IT infrastructure, cloud, security, or enterprise system projects
Experience working in hybrid onsite/remote environments
Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
Hands-on experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid)
Proficiency with PM tools (Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, Confluence, etc.)
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure, M365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender)
Exposure to cybersecurity, identity management, or compliance initiatives
PMP, Scrum Master, or similar certification
Experience working with external vendors and managed service providers
Work Environment
Hybrid schedule: Onsite presence required in Burlington, MA (typically1 to 2 days per week)
Collaborative, fast-paced environment
Contract role with potential extension based on performance and project needs
