Design reactor structures and components, including the rotatable plug assembly equipment, from requirements through final design Coordinate inputs and requirements from engineering and project teams to develop design solutions Assess the technical merit of solutions and lead design reviews while collaborating with equipment suppliers to resolve issues
Required qualifications
B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of eight years of equipment/component design experience Extensive experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III and writing detailed design specifications Proficiency in finite element stress analysis and mechanical analysis tools like ANSYS Familiarity with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks Preferred experience with slewing ring bearings and elastomeric seals
