Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and testing of electrical systems, including controls, wiring, and lighting.
Review and approve design models to ensure safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with clients on project timelines and cost estimates.
Oversee simulations, testing, and performance validation of systems.
Coordinate manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Inspect installations and ensure adherence to design and safety requirements.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and team members.
Design electrical systems for powertrain and component test systems using CREO.
Perform design analysis using CREO Simulate to optimize durability and cost.
Conduct design reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Troubleshoot issues and lead cost reduction efforts.
Create and validate detailed engineering drawings for production.
Manage supplier interactions, including sourcing, quoting, and procurement.
Ensure supplier deliverables meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations.
Support system assembly and build processes.
Perform risk and safety assessments (DFMEA, Safety Walks, LOTO).
Develop and maintain engineering standards and processes.
Travel up to 10% for customer, supplier, and site visits.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
1 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and team-focused mindset.
Ability to lead initiatives and mentor team members.
Proficiency in engineering calculations, design standards, and electrical principles.
Experience with CAD tools such as CREO and AutoCAD.
