Title: Web Applications Programmer – .NET Developer Location:
Must Be local to Tallahassee, Florida -
5 days a week on site

1. Overview
The Florida Department of Health is seeking an experienced Web Applications Programmer (.NET Developer) to provide ongoing maintenance, support, and development for applications supporting the Medical Quality Assurance (MQA) online systems.
The selected contractor will work closely with the Department to enhance system functionality, resolve issues, and ensure reliable performance of critical web applications.
4. Required Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Database Development:
10+ years of experience with SQL Server and Oracle
Strong expertise in database design and development of stored procedures
Application Development:
10+ years of experience developing applications using C#, .NET Framework, MVC, and Web API
Proficiency in front-end technologies including JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, and Bootstrap
DevOps & Tools:
5+ years of experience with DevOps practices and Git
Methodologies:
10+ years of experience working within Agile environments, specifically Scrum
10+ years of experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Frameworks & Platforms:
4+ years of experience with Entity Framework
5+ years of experience developing applications using .NET Core
3+ years of experience developing in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure
5+ years of experience developing applications in Azure
Web Services:
10+ years of experience developing and maintaining web services
Specialized Systems:
5+ years of experience with Versa Regulation and Versa Online
5. Key Responsibilities
5.1 Application Design & Development
Design system solutions using modern requirements gathering, analysis, and design methodologies
Develop enhancements, new features, and bug fixes based on Department priorities and assigned tasks
5.2 Code Development & Maintenance
Modify and create application and database code following established development standards
Complete daily work tickets, including implementing enhancements and resolving defects
5.3 Troubleshooting & Support
Investigate and resolve system issues reported by the Medical Quality Assurance group and Applications Management team
Provide timely and effective solutions for production and development issues
5.4 Documentation
Maintain clear and accurate documentation for all code changes, enhancements, and system updates
Store documentation in designated repositories as required by the Department
5.5 Data Security & Compliance
Adhere to all Department data security and confidentiality policies
Ensure compliance with all applicable standards outlined in the Data Security and Confidentiality agreement
