You’ll be at the center of the sales engine—generating new business, building relationships, and driving revenue growth. You’ll collaborate closely with the sales team while owning the front end of the pipeline and making a direct impact on company performance.
Position Summary
The Business Development Representative / Inside Sales professional is responsible for driving pipeline growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers. This role plays a critical part in fueling the sales organization by creating new opportunities and supporting deal progression.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Generation & Prospecting
Generate new business through inbound follow-up and outbound outreach (calls, emails, research)
Conduct independent market and account research to identify opportunities
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects
Identify key decision-makers within target accounts
Qualification & Sales Support
Understand customer needs and position solutions effectively
Partner with sales team members to advance and close opportunities
Deliver online demos and presentations to prospective clients
CRM & Activity Management
Maintain accurate records and manage sales activity in Salesforce
Track pipeline progress and ensure consistent follow-up
Events & Market Engagement
Occasionally attend trade shows, customer visits, and industry events
What Success Looks Like
Consistently generating and qualifying new opportunities
Proactively engaging prospects and driving conversations
Maintaining strong organization and ownership of pipeline
Effectively collaborating while operating independently
Qualifications
5+ years of sales experience
Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
Familiarity with lead generation tools (e.g., ZoomInfo)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
Experience in manufacturing or industrial sales environments
