Job Description:
Seeking a hands-on Electrical Controls Design Engineer to support the design and development of semiconductor process equipment and control systems.
This role focuses on electrical system design, PLC programming, power distribution, subsystem integration, and industrial automation within a fast-paced engineering environment.
Responsibilities:
Design electrical modules, control panels, and subsystems for semiconductor equipment.
Own the full electrical design lifecycle including requirements, feasibility studies, schematic design, integration, prototype testing, and manufacturing release.
Develop and support control systems, power distribution, system interlocks, and laser chiller controls.
Perform electrical analysis including load, timing, and thermal evaluations.
Create schematics and documentation using tools such as OrCAD, PSpice, and FPGA development platforms.
Work closely with Mechanical, Software, Systems, and Manufacturing teams for subsystem and system integration.
Support hands-on lab activities, troubleshooting, validation, and cleanroom testing.
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure successful implementation and issue resolution.
Experience:
5+ years of electrical design engineering experience.
PLC programming expertise is required (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron, etc.).
Strong experience in:
Control system design
Industrial automation
Power distribution systems
Electrical integration and troubleshooting
Experience with Ladder Logic programming.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
