Pay Rate:
$60/hr on W2
We are looking for a
Software Development Specialist
to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.
Primary Purpose To design and maintain robust, scalable software architecture for CMS software systems, oversee programming and implementation, and provide consultation on applications and systems needs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Ensure software scalability and data integrity across claims-related applications
Align software with business, IT, and infrastructure strategies
Implement strategies for maintaining JURIS data and application integration
Collaborate on designs and projects for strategic technology initiatives
Consult with project managers on active and future projects
Assist in implementing large client programs with interfaces or system modifications
Manage analyst/programmers as needed
Review and recommend actions on software change requests
Provide input on prioritization of change requests
Assist in projecting software and hardware requirements
Additional Functions and Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned
Support the organization's quality program(s)
Supervisory Responsibilities
Administer company personnel policies
Interview, hire, and establish performance development plans
Conduct performance discussions
Provide leadership and motivation for maximum performance
Qualifications Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree preferred (Information Systems or Management)
Master's degree strongly preferred
Experience
10 years of related experience, including 7 years in software development
5 years hands‑on programming experience in database and data‑driven applications strongly preferred
Skills & Knowledge
High‑level knowledge of software development areas (SDLC, specifications, security, etc.)
Strong oral and written communication, including technical writing and presentation skills
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Leadership, management, and motivational skills
Analytical and interpretive skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
