About

Up to $110K plus about a 15% annual bonus (paid twice yearly) and about 15% in annual profit sharing = $135K. Unlimited PTO and two annual company trips to exotic locations Remote (Must reside in the Eastern Time Zone) Our client is seeking a
non-traditional Finance Controller
to join a
small, fast-scaling company
with a hands-on, growth-oriented environment. This is not a classic controller role — it’s ideal for someone who enjoys
building, improving, and owning processes
rather than maintaining rigid structures. The Controller will play a critical role in monitoring transactions, managing cash flow, overseeing intercompany activity, and strengthening foundational finance processes as the business continues to scale. The primary focus will be the
U.S. entity , with additional responsibility across
two European operating companies . This role is perfect for a

who thrives in a startup or early-growth setting. What You’ll Do Accounting & Controls Own and manage all accounting operations, including billing, AR, AP, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and management accounting Maintain full ownership of the general ledger and supporting control accounts Implement and maintain proper revenue recognition practices Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting, with continuous improvement of accuracy and presentation Develop, document, and enhance accounting policies and business processes to strengthen internal controls Reporting & Compliance Prepare and deliver timely, accurate monthly financial statements Coordinate regulatory and statutory reporting requirements Own and manage U.S. payroll (approximately 6 FTE) Manage sales tax, state, local, federal, and payroll tax filings and compliance Lead year-end close, prepare year-end accounts, and liaise with external accountants for audits and filings Partner with the Group CFO to prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts Provide variance analysis and financial insights Support ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic projects as needed Who You Are Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA required Proven Controller experience in
small, growing, or startup environments Strong command of accounting principles, month-end and year-end close, and financial statement preparation Deep knowledge and ownership of
U.S. taxes
(federal, state, sales, and payroll) Results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Comfortable working in lean, evolving environments Hands-on experience with
QuickBooks Online Experience supporting
international operations
(UK experience strongly preferred) Requirements 3+ years of experience using QuickBooks Online
