The Project Manager, Clinic Development, is responsible for managing the planning, design, permitting, construction, and setup of new Soar Autism Center clinics. This role serves as the central point of coordination between internal stakeholders (operations, clinical leadership, real estate, finance) and external partners (landlords, architects, engineers, general contractors, vendors, and local authorities) for projects they oversee. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning multiple projects simultaneously, thrives in fast-paced growth environments, and can balance schedule, budget, and quality while navigating regulatory and landlord constraints. Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
Manage multiple clinic buildouts simultaneously from lease execution through certificate of occupancy and handover to operations. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and critical path items. Coordinate with real estate and leadership on scope definition and delivery timelines, while proactively flagging risks and barriers. Oversee architects and engineers through schematic design, design development, and construction documents. Ensure designs align with Soar’s clinical, operational, branding, and life-safety standards. Coordinate permit submissions, plan review comments, and resubmittals with local jurisdictions. Track and manage jurisdictional approvals, inspections, and certificates of occupancy. Develop furniture, technology, and artwork plans for assigned projects. Construction Management
Review contractor schedules, pay applications, change orders, and close-out documentation. Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to approved plans, budget, and schedule. Identify risks early and proactively propose mitigation strategies. Budget & Cost Management
Track project budgets, including TI allowances, landlord work, and tenant-funded scope. Review cost estimates and change orders for accuracy and alignment with scope. Support negotiations with landlords and contractors related to scope, cost, and responsibility splits. Review construction bids for thoroughness and cost saving opportunities. Setup & Opening Support
Coordinate furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), IT, security, and life-safety system installations. Oversee punch lists, final inspections, and collect close-out documentation. Support smooth handoff to clinic operations and facilities teams. Qualifications
Required: 2+ years of experience in project management, construction management, or related roles Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills Current Soar employees must be in good standing in their current roles Preferred: Experience managing commercial interior buildouts (healthcare, education, office) Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet) Familiarity with landlord-delivered work and TI allowance structures Understanding of permitting, inspections, and construction workflows Highly organized with strong attention to detail Comfortable navigating ambiguity and problem-solving in real time Collaborative and service-oriented mindset Able to balance speed, quality, and cost in a growth environment Confident interfacing with senior leadership and external partners Able to clearly set expectations and hold contractors accountable Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Ability to lead meetings and coordinate with project team members Travel
