divh2CNA/h2pResponsible for training and assisting individuals served in various aspects of activities of daily living, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for the health, safety and emotional support of the individuals being served./pulliProvide training in accordance with the written program plan, covering all aspects of the individuals life as assigned and in compliance with company policy and procedure/liliMonitor the comfort and safety of individuals served, while ensuring that the medical, nutritional and personal care needs are being met/liliSupport people served to identify and achieve the personal outcomes important to them/liliAttend and participate in the team program plan meetings as assigned and regularly communicate each persons progress with team members, supervisors, parents and/or guardians, as appropriate/liliInteract with individuals in an emotionally supportive and therapeutic manner, and practice effective techniques for reinforcing appropriate individual behavior/liliMaintain medical, social and programmatic files by recording each persons progress and documenting other required information/liliProvide transportation and assist individuals with integration into the community by accompanying them to social and spiritual activities/liliAssist each person served with general housekeeping, meal preparation and laundry duties/liliComplete assigned cleaning tasks on a routine basis in order to maintain a neat and clean environment/liliAssist individuals in handling their money and finances/liliProvide appropriate leisure time activities/li/ululliKnowledge of Company policies and procedures/liliBasic knowledge of nutrition, housekeeping, meal preparation, personal hygiene and first aid/liliSkill in working with individuals with developmental disabilities/liliAbility to communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner/liliAbility to teach individuals with developmental disabilities/liliAbility to read documents and written instructions/liliAbility to write and maintain accurate records/liliAbility to maintain confidentiality./liliAbility to stoop, kneel and lift to complete assigned tasks/liliAbility to use the telephone/liliAbility to maintain a patient and positive attitude/liliAbility to drive/li/ululliWork requires frequent physical activity including extended periods of standing, walking, and bending with occasional periods of sitting, kneeling, climbing, stooping, crouching, squatting and balancing./liliWork also requires constant reaching between knee and shoulder level as well as frequent reaching below knee level and overhead./liliWork requires occasional independent lifting up to 25 pounds, frequent push/pull up to 40 pounds of force and the ability to safely transfer 50 pounds./li/ulpHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of three months of experience in a related field. Must be at least 18 years of age, State of NE Certified Medication Aide (80 Hour Course) or CNA course Completion and state license./p/div
