Phelps Health Hospital 18 bed ARU Unit located in Rolla, MO. Our team recognizes the importance of privacy and independence for patients. Most of the 26 rooms on the floor are private patient rooms, and a transitional living mini suite is available to help accommodate patients who are almost ready to go home. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

We are looking for a dynamic Physical Therapist Assistant who is passionate about helping others and is a team player!

What will you do in this role:

  • Implement treatment plan developed by supervising therapists using appropriate modalities.
  • Seeks consultation as necessary.
  • Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan.
  • Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
  • Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
  • Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
  • Assists with patient discharge planning.
  • Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree Required; Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required
  • Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state where services are rendered
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Accepting new grads
