About
Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an ILI Field Technician to join our team. In-Line Inspection (ILI) tools are essential for our customers' integrity management programs, helping them assess pipeline strength through accurate data. This entry-level role requires no prior experience or specific education. Significant travel and outdoor work are involved, mainly in the Midwest; a company vehicle and per diem are provided. As part of our Integrity Management team, you will support ILI runs by tracking tool progress at above-ground markers alongside engineers and field technicians. Responsibilities
Review GPS data, KMZ (Google Earth) files, and client data to create project execution plans Survey AGM sites using Trimble survey receivers and line locating equipment Track ILI (Inline Inspection) tools traveling through liquid or gas pipelines Utilize equipment and technology to verify tool passages along pipeline route Compile tracking data and notes, communicate with team and client, and report Use GPS navigation for site access Complete and maintain operator qualifications (OQs) Work in compliance with LSC and client procedures, guidelines, and expectations Position Requirements
High school diploma or college degree Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs Valid driver’s license Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to locations throughout the US as required Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities Commitment to working safely and producing high quality, ethical service Highly motivated and thrives in a dynamic, team-based environment Willingness to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and management Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and build positive working relationships Well organized and ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing Line locating, survey or previous in-line inspection (ILI) experience a plus Compensation and Benefits
Lake Superior Consulting offers a competitive compensation package. The actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your skills, experience, and office/market location. The anticipated salary/hourly range for this position is
