About
About The Role We're looking for a Commissioning Project Manager of Renewable Energy on behalf of our client. You can work remote but travel to job site. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2). You will work as a Project Manager on a portfolio of renewable energy (wind, solar, battery storage). You will be responsible for execution of assigned renewable power plant projects and teams as it relates to commissioning, start up and operational turnover.
Reports To: Commissioning Director
Location: Remote & Travel to different sites. Per Diem at GSA rates.
1-year contract assignment (W-2).
Key Responsibilities
Ensure assigned projects' commissioning activities are performed with high quality and follow all safety policies.
Responsible for coordination and management of EPC contractor personnel, OEM start up personnel, third-party start up contractors, and operations personnel on site, as it relates to site commissioning and startup.
Responsible for compliance with all project contractual documents to include Power Purchase Agreement and Large Generator Interconnect Agreement deliverables with local utility.
Responsible for oversight of commissioning personnel for multiple sites to ensure contractual obligations are met for all assigned projects.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise and input into team strategic planning for safety, personnel, and quality and efficiency improvement.
Qualifications
Electrical construction and commissioning means and methods knowledge including NEC and NFPA.
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) integration and troubleshooting.
E&I controls and instrumentation installation, startup and troubleshooting.
Protection and Controls implementation and troubleshooting.
Inverter operation and communications startup and troubleshooting.
Battery Energy Storage System operation and troubleshooting.
Review drawings for quality control and inspection.
Schedule and planning understanding.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $40.00/hr. to $45.00/hr.
