Position Description:
Cloud Engineer – Contingent Pipeline Opportunity – We’re building a talent pipeline for upcoming U.S. Government defense IT and analytics support roles. Opportunities are contingent upon task order awards and funding under existing contracts.

Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain secure AWS and Azure GovCloud environments
Build scalable, highly available infrastructure for mission critical applications
Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
Configure and manage cloud networking including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, peering, and security groups
Administer IAM and role based access control while enforcing least privilege principles
Support hybrid and multi cloud architectures
Apply Zero Trust Architecture principles across cloud environments
Lead and support Authority to Operate activities including SSP, SAR, and POA&M development
Maintain compliance with DoD RMF, NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and IL-4 and IL-5 requirements
Partner with cybersecurity teams to implement required security controls
Monitor and optimize compute, storage, and networking resources for performance and cost efficiency
Support continuous monitoring and compliance efforts
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field OR 5 (five) years of equivalent hands‑on cloud engineering experience
Experience designing and managing AWS and Azure cloud environments
Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and virtualization
Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Experience supporting DoD or federal cloud environments
Experience contributing to or leading ATO efforts in a regulated environment
Working knowledge of DoD RMF, NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, and FedRAMP
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience supporting IL-4 or IL-5 environments
Experience with cross domain solutions
Background supporting intelligence, defense, or combatant command missions
Experience in containerization technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker
Familiarity with cost optimization and cloud performance tuning strategies
Experience in multi cloud architecture design
Certifications
Required: DoD 8570 or 8140 compliant certification such as Security+, CCNA Security, or equivalent
Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Security Specialty, Certified Kubernetes Administrator
