Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
Remote (Ideal candidates will reside in California)
About the Opportunity We are representing a top-tier client in their search for a skilled Forensic Civil Structural Engineer (PE or SE). This role offers the chance to work on complex forensic investigations, provide expert consultation, and grow within a dynamic and supportive environment. Regular travel to project sites within the region will be part of the job.
Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site inspections, collect data, and conduct testing.
Prepare detailed reports that capture findings, analyses, and recommendations.
Work with local authorities to guide repair processes.
Conduct research and develop technical content for industry publications.
Present technical information to clients and colleagues.
Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development efforts.
What You Bring
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
Over 10 years of experience in forensic engineering or a related field.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Willingness to travel for site inspections.
Preferred Skills
Experience serving as an expert witness.
Background in design, construction, or forensic assessments.
Knowledge of storm damage and building envelope evaluations is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working at heights and in diverse environments.
Ability to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
