About
Responsibilities
Review datasets to verify accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business and analytical requirements.
Assist in monitoring data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and system outputs to identify inconsistencies or anomalies.
Document data findings, observations, and issues while collaborating with engineering, development, and QA teams on resolutions.
Support requirements gathering by helping translate business needs into clear functional and technical tasks.
Contribute to data modernization and process improvement efforts with guidance from senior team members.
Maintain project documentation, status updates, and metrics tracking.
Support root‑cause analysis by gathering information and summarizing findings.
Participate in testing activities, including data validation, functional checks, and user acceptance testing.
Follow established security, governance, and quality standards within federal guidelines.
Collaboration & Agile Delivery
Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and daily stand‑ups.
Assist in tracking risks, dependencies, action items, and issue logs.
Contribute ideas and observations to support continuous improvement.
Collaborate with product owners, developers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to support successful delivery.
Qualifications Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, analytical, or related field with 5+ years of experience (or commensurate experience).
Foundational understanding or coursework exposure to Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and data mesh or distributed data architecture concepts.
Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to learn new tools and technologies in a collaborative environment.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a remote team.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust/Suitability clearance.
Exposure to or interest in working within a federal or civil agency environment (Veterans Affairs experience preferred but not required).
Preferred Skills and Experience
Familiarity with Jira or other Agile work‑management tools.
Exposure to data quality concepts, metadata practices, or governance frameworks through coursework, internships, or projects.
Basic understanding of cloud concepts, ETL/ELT workflows, or software development lifecycle principles.
Clearance Required Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
Posted Salary Range USD $90,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
