Field Service Engineer | Indianapolis area - large regional customer base
Direct Hire | 100% remote role with travel position
Targeted pay rate : $29-40/hr depending upon qualification/years of experience
Kelly Engineering seeks a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our client’s team. In this role, the Service Engineer installs, troubleshoots, and repairs the company's CNC Machines at client sites.
Qualifications / Experience
Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
Experience diagnosing and repairing complex machinery or automated equipment.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, schematics, and service manuals.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Organized and detail-oriented with strong reporting and documentation abilities.
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs without assistance.
Ability to pass background and drug screening
Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain professional communication with clients.
Diagnose and repair equipment in collaboration with the internal/external team members.
Utilize visual inspection, diagnostic software, and electronic tools to troubleshoot issues.
Read and interpret repair manuals, schematics, and work orders to guide repairs.
Clean, replace, install, and align machine components to ensure optimal performance.
Accurately document and report machine conditions, repairs, and service details.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including applications, sales, engineering, and production.
Provide on-site customer training for machine operation and maintenance.
Support and assist other Field Service Engineers as needed.
Participate in ongoing factory training and contribute to improving technical documentation.
Work independently while adhering to all company and safety standards.
Travel up to 100% (mostly regional and national/international to Canada/Mexico when needed).
