ABOUT THE ROLE Accounting Manager with CPG Focus Our Accounting Managers play a vital role in supporting our clients and managing their team. This role is a mix of accounting oversight and workload management, plus client management to ensure quality, timeliness, and accuracy in our delivery. This will include workload distribution with our accounting team, client communications, monthly close management, and routine accounting tasks. As a small team, you will have high visibility, impact, and ample opportunities for growth and development! RESPONSIBILITIES Accounting Management
Lead monthly financial statement close process for your client group, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely, as well as analyzing and reviewing financial statements and variances. Manage workload delegation within existing accounting team & resources. Oversee team members’ work for quality and timeliness. Plan and execute accounting projects, including: historical adjustments to financial statements, conversion from cash to accrual accounting, implementing inventory management by SKU, and other projects as needed. Accounting Tasks
Ensure accurate QuickBooks transactions and categorization. Oversee inventory, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes across all clients. Prepare and record month-end journal entries with supporting documentation. Capable and willing to roll up your sleeves and perform accounting tasks as needed to meet client expectations and deadlines. Utilize internal project management tools to track tasks and ensure quality and timeliness. QUALIFICATIONS You definitively have – Work experience in Consumer Brands and/or CPG Experience managing an accounting team Prior consulting or agency experience Demonstrated organization and communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to communicate with clients in a professional manner (these are often founders) Access to high-speed internet Demonstrated work ethic and an ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion Deadline and detail oriented Bachelor’s degree in accounting You love -- Variety of interesting work Good people and great culture Creating value internally and externally Capturing opportunities and solving problems Learning and contributing to a growing organization COMPENSATION This is a full-time, remote position Compensation commensurate with experience Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k benefits are available How To Apply Complete the online application here: bit.ly/bcaccountingmanager Seniority level
