About the role: The Website & Conversion Manager is responsible for the performance, optimisation, and ongoing development of the Flogas and Budget Energy websites. This role owns the website roadmap and ensures digital platforms effectively support customer acquisition, engagement, and conversion in line with commercial and marketing objectives. With a strong focus on user experience, CRO, SEO, and digital performance, the role ensures websites are fast, accessible, compliant, and optimised for both mobile and desktop users. Working closely with Marketing, Digital, Commercial, IT, and external agency partners, the role plays a critical part in driving measurable business growth through continuous website improvement and data-led optimisation. Key Responsibilities: Website Ownership & Strategy Own the performance and development of all Flogas and Budget Energy websites Define the website roadmap, prioritising improvements aligned to commercial and customer objectives Ensure websites are structured to support acquisition, engagement and conversion Ensure the website reflects current product offerings, tariffs and pricing, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to market changes Continuously evolve website strategy in line with business priorities and customer needs User Experience & Journey Optimisation Design and optimise key customer journeys across all websites, ensuring they are clear, intuitive and effective Identify friction points and opportunities for improvement across the customer journey Work closely with the Customer Lifecycle & Retention Manager to ensure consistency across journeys Ensure strong mobile-first performance and usability Conversion & Performance Optimisation Drive continuous improvement in conversion rates across key journeys: acquisition, sign-up and lead gen Act as the marketing owner of product and tariff updates on the website, ensuring changes are implemented quickly, accurately and in line with commercial priorities Define and implement A/B testing and optimisation initiatives Own end-to-end SEO strategy and performance, embedding best practice across technical, content, and UX to drive sustainable organic growth. Use data and insights to inform improvements and prioritisation Monitor and report on website performance, identifying opportunities for growth Own and improve web and mobile performance, including load times, responsiveness, and stability Content & CMS Management Oversee how content is structured & presented across websites to ensure clarity, consistency & effectiveness Work within existing content management systems to update and maintain website content Support the evolution of CMS capability across the business as platforms and systems develop Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure strong messaging across all pages Agency & Delivery Management Manage the relationship with website and development agency partners Define requirements and briefs for development work Ensure delivery aligns with expectations, timelines and quality standards Prioritise and manage the development backlog in line with business needs Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment Work with Digital, Marketing & Commercial teams to align website activity with campaigns & priorities Partner with the Digital Operations Specialist to ensure smooth & accurate implementation of web changes Support wider digital initiatives that impact website performance and customer journeys Website Governance, Compliance & Best Practice Ensure websites meet brand, regulatory and accessibility requirements Act as the marketing owner for overall website health & reliability, ensuring key journeys are consistently available and performing Partner closely with IT and external partners to ensure all website infrastructure elements including domains, SSL certs and integrations are properly managed and maintained Establish clear ownership, monitoring and renewal processes for critical website components Proactively identify & mitigate risks that could impact web performance, availability or customer experience Ensure strong co-ordination with IT and agency partners to minimise downtime and resolve issues quickly Stay up to date with digital, UX and CRO best practices Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Website conversion rates (acquisition, lead generation, sign-ups) Core Web Vitals and mobile performance metrics meet defined targets Customer journey performance and drop-off reduction Speed and accuracy of key product and tariff pages Delivery of website roadmap and improvements Compliance with brand and regulatory standards Candidate Profile: We are seeking an experienced digital or eCommerce professional with 710 years experience in website management, CRO, or digital performance roles. The ideal candidate will hold a 3rd level degree in Marketing, Digital, Business, Data Analytics or related discipline and will have a proven track record of improving conversion rates and customer journeys through data-driven optimisation, UX improvements, and testing strategies. They will bring strong expertise in SEO, including technical, on-page, and content optimisation, alongside the ability to translate analytics and insights into actionable improvements that enhance performance and customer experience. Experience managing website platforms, CMS environments, and external agency partners is essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, digital, commercial, and IT teams. The successful candidate will be commercially focused, highly analytical, and detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of digital best practice and a passion for continuous improvement.
