Your new company A well-established and growing business based in Cork, specialising in high-quality window furnishings. Your new role As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will join the finance team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract based at their head office on the North side of the city. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable ledger and supporting the wider finance function. Key responsibilities will include: Processing invoices and maintaining accurate accounts payable records Managing supplier payments and reconciliations Supporting retail branches with financial queries and administration Assisting with general accounts administration duties Providing additional support to payroll processes where requiredThis is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, offering the opportunity to work within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) Experience with accounting systems such as Sage (desirable) Knowledge of Thesaurus software (advantageous) Good interpersonal and communication skills Payroll experience (a distinct advantage) A proactive, team-oriented approach What you'll get in return In return, you will receive:Competitive salary of between €32,000 to €38,000 (depending on experience) Valuable experience within a growing Irish company A supportive and collaborative team environment Benefits include: Bike to Work scheme Employee discount On-site parking This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your experience within a busy finance function while contributing to a well-established Cork-based organisation.
