As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at our Huger Mercy Living Center, you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction. Every day, you will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and actively contribute to the patient's plan of care as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, upholding the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being.

Assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer

Collects laboratory specimens according to hospital protocol, maintaining hospital standard of zero tolerance for mislabeled specimens

Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested

Retrieves necessary equipment and supplies

Assists in patient/equipment preparation

Performs follow-up actions as directed

Required:

High School Diploma/GED

Completion of C.N.A. program

Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Arizona

American Heart Association Basic Life Support card

First Aid card

Preferred:

Six (6) months acute care C.N.A. experience

Huger Mercy Living Center in Phoenix provides a state-of-the-art dementia care program within a homelike, five-acre campus, founded by Dr. Raymond Huger and operated by St. Joseph's Hospital. This assisted-living facility offers 24-hour expert care for 48 residents housed in four cottages, grouped by activity and functional level. Every detail is carefully crafted to accommodate the special needs of those with dementia, overseeing medical care by a dedicated team. Through a social, activity-based model, Huger fosters dignity, interaction, and cognitive engagement with varied activities and community involvement.
