KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the successful candidate will: Provide and coordinate system support for the University's physical and virtual server infrastructure environment, and its related enterprise backup solutions. Provide system administration and applications support for campus physical security systems (e.g. campus access control, building online security system, etc.). Support and maintain automated IT asset management (ITAM) and discovery platforms. Assist with supporting the Microsoft 365 environment (e.g. Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, SSO, etc.) as well as the Active Directory environment. Assist with SSL certification management. Assist with the support and maintain managed print service environment.
Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience in Windows or Linux server administration. Experience in managing virtual environments. Demonstrated ability or commitment to working effectively in a diverse environment and supporting equitable access to technology and services. Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents in support of campus and department mission.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience working within a Higher Education environment. Experience working with data backup solutions. Familiarity with physical security hardware applications. Experience managing enterprise-level print solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Security Mindset: A strong commitment to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive security and identity data. Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex application errors and hardware communication issues. Communication: Capacity to collaborate effectively with campus partners, including University Police, Facilities Services, and external vendors. Organization: Ability to manage multiple projects and systems simultaneously while maintaining high standards of documentation.
Additional Information: This is a full-time, twelve-month, SL-3 term appointed, UUP represented position beginning July 1, 2026, or as soon as possible with a salary range of $62,000-$70,000.
