Description
- Operate and monitor the wastewater treatment system.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
- Clear blockages, clean screens, and maintain proper flow through the system.
- Diagnose and fix low voltage equipment, D.O. probes, Ph. meters, Level transducers, etc.
- Repair equipment as necessary.
- Maintain maintenance logs.
- Maintain accurate wastewater treatment logs.
- Conduct basic lab analyses and perform simple calculations.
- Communicate issues and status updates to management.
- All other relevant duties as required.
Requirements
- Wastewater treatment system operations experience.
- Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use tools.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent troubleshooting and prolem solving skills.
Physical Requirements
- Work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC).
- Stand 8+ hours throughout work day.
- Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
- Regularly lift 50+ lbs. to include moving, lifting, and pushing machinery.
- Regularly climb up and down ladders.
- Frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
