How you'll contribute

A Phlebotomist who excels in this role:

  • Perform venipunctures and skin punctures on hospital patients.
  • Assists in reviewing lab results and alerts Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor or Director of Nursing as needed.
  • Responsibilities include blood specimen collection including blood cultures.

What we're looking for

Applicants should be a high school graduate or equivalent. Additional requirements include:

  • Formal Phlebotomy training as required by state.
  • Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification preferred and valid state Clinical Lab Scientists as required by state.
  • Six (6) months acute phlebotomy experience or one (1) year experience as a medical assistant performing venipuncture or one (1) year outpatient lab experience preferred.
