Asheville, NC Salary:
$90,000–$110,000 An established and growing hospitality group in Asheville, NC is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of a high-volume, chef-driven restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and organized culinary leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to contribute to a collaborative and hospitality-focused culture. The ideal candidate is a strong operator with a balance of creativity, leadership, and financial acumen. This role requires someone who can lead by example, maintain high culinary standards, develop and mentor kitchen teams, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations while continuing to evolve the guest experience. Responsibilities: Oversee all BOH operations including staffing, scheduling, ordering, inventory, prep, execution, and sanitation Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards across all services Lead, train, mentor, and inspire kitchen teams while fostering a positive culture Manage food cost, labor, and overall kitchen financial performance Collaborate with ownership and leadership on menu development and seasonal features Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards Contribute to operational systems and long-term culinary growth strategies Qualifications: Previous Executive Chef or high-level Sous Chef experience in a high-volume or chef-driven environment Strong leadership and communication skills Solid understanding of food cost controls, labor management, and kitchen systems Passion for hospitality, team development, and quality-driven execution Ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-oriented under pressure Stable work history and strong references preferred Compensation & Benefits: Base salary: $90,000–$110,000 depending on experience Opportunity for long-term growth with an expanding hospitality group Supportive ownership and collaborative leadership environment Quality of life and strong team culture prioritized This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef looking to join a respected group in one of the country’s most vibrant and growing food destinations.
